Eddie's mother, Helen, passed away before his fourth birthday, leaving the boy in the sole, regrettable care of his father, Allan. With a tendency to be manipulative, abusive, neglectful and controlling, Allan would quickly ensure that the relationship with his son would plunge swiftly into instability before he'd even reached his teens, often dragging him into the various criminal activities that he regularly involved himself in. Young Eddie had found solace in the form of music and reprieve in the pages of fantasy novels, regularly shutting himself away inside of his room to pluck away at the strings of his second-hand guitar or scribble down his own imaginative adventures onto paper as a means of escape from his own dismal reality. Things finally took a turn in a positive direction when his father was arrested for his latest illegal scheme, shortly after Eddie had entered his 7th year of school. Eddie was given a second chance at life when his uncle Wayne had become his legal guardian. Things had been rocky at first between them, given the boy's fragile mental state that had been sculpted by the trauma of growing up surrounded by so much abuse and toxicity, but it wasn't long before Wayne's kindness had rubbed off on him and he'd finally begun to feel comfortable in a home for the first time in his life.

With the reputation that he'd garnered for himself already solidified with the town (and the town's police), Eddie finds it hard to escape his past and the judgment and scorn that comes along with it, and the bitterness that he now harbors for authority only makes him drive the nail deeper into the coffin. He owns the title "FREAK" and wears it quite proudly. While he wants to be a better man than his father, he still actively participates in petty crime and he gets a high off of causing disturbances. With his childhood love for music and instruments now blossomed into a passion, he spends much of his free time practicing in his room or with his band "Corroded Coffin," and he is often getting swallowed up in D&D campaigns. He is still trying to graduate high school and is now on his third attempt.

Although it is hidden beneath a sarcastic, bitter, rebellious exterior, Eddie is a soft soul with a warm heart. He is friendly, loyal, and brave when push comes to shove, especially in regard to his friends and those that are closest to him.Eddie is enthusiastic and eccentric about his passions, including music, hellfire club and his favorite books/movies, and he is lazy when it comes to anything that can't keep his interest (ie school). His intense persona can be a little intimidating at first, especially because he has a tendency to throw dramatics into just about everything he does, but after getting past the intensity that is his over-the-top, obnoxious, loud attitude, finding the goofy, playful, open-minded side of him isn't too hard.
